Bernardo Nunes has a degree in Computer Engineering from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2006), a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (2009) and is a Doctor of Computer Science from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro with a sandwich course at Leibniz Universität Hannover (2014). He is currently a researcher and professor at the Australian National University (ANU) and an assistant professor at the Graduate Program in Computer Science at UNIRIO. He has experience in Computer Science, mainly working on Semantic Web, Web Science and Distance Education. In addition, he worked as a researcher in the laboratories of the L3S Research Center in Germany 2012 (extraordinary student), 2013 (associate researcher) and 2017 (visiting researcher), and was a visiting researcher at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) in Italy (2015) and a visiting researcher at the National University of Australia (2018). He has won national and international research awards and published over 100 scientific articles, including conferences, book chapters and magazines.
