Jean-Pierre Briot has Maîtrise in Mathematics – Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC: Paris 6), Paris, France (1980), a Doctorate degree in Computer Science – UPMC (1984). Qualification à diriger des recherche in Computer Science – UPMC (1989). I am Director of Research (Directeur de recherche de 1ère classe) at CNRS (Centre Nacional de la Recherche Scientifique, France). I am a Researcher at Laboratoire d´Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6) and also a Permanent Visiting Professor at the Department of Computing from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). At this moment (between May 2018 and May 2010) I am a Visiting Professor of Foreign Affairs at the Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), in the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGI). I was the Director of CNRS Brasil, Permanent Representative Office of CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, French) in Brazil, which I created, for 5 years (2010-2014). I participated in more than 100 doctoral boards. I have more than 70 scientific publications co-authored with Brazilian researchers. I am interested in the convergence of programming, artificial intelligence and distributed systems, such as the design of multi-agent collaborative systems. I recently became interested in musical computing again: the use of deep learning for music generation. My most complete curriculum (in French) is: http://www-desir.lip6.fr/~briot/cv
