Marcelo Fornazin is a Researcher at the Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública of Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (ENSP/Fiocruz) and Adjunct Professor at the Computing Institute at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). A Doctor of Administration from Escola Brasileira de Administração Pública e de Empresas of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EBAPE/FGV), he has a Bachelor’s Degree (2006) and a Master’s Degree (2008) in Computer Science from Universidade Estadual Paulista “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP). A member of the Information, Health and Population Thematic Group of the Brazilian Association of Collective Health (GTISP/Abrasco) and of the Special Committee of Information Systems of the Brazilian Computer Society (CESI/SBC), he also acts in the Graduate Program in Computer Science of Unirio (PPGI-Unirio) and the Graduate Program in Information Science of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (IBICT-UFRJ). He worked as a Professor in the Information Technology area at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2015-2017), as Information Technology Management Specialist at the Ministry of Health (2009-2013), and as a Project Manager at MStech Consultoria (2006-2009). He has experience in Computer Science and Information Technology, with emphasis on Information Technology Management, Electronic Government and Social Computing. He mainly works on the following themes: health information systems, evaluation and projects and public policies for information technology, computing and society, development of systems for health and social areas.
